Welcome to the Ski Borovets Web site!!! Borovets is located in the heart of the forest-clad Rila Mountains, in Bulgaria, which joined the EU on 1st January 2007. Borovets bid to host the 2014 Winter Olympics. Borovets is the largest international mountain resort in Bulgaria, used for World Championship ski events. It offers excellent skiing, a friendly atmosphere and incredible value for money. It is located at 1,390m above sea level, with pistes up to 2,600m. It is only one hour’s drive from Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital. Budget airlines now fly direct to Sofia from the UK. You could rent a superb, brand new, self-catering chalet with its own sauna, set in a magnificent pine wood. It sleeps 6 people and is just 3 minutes walk from the Gondola lift. |
